“Crisp Wireless can quickly deploy first-rate mobile web sites,” said Salil Dalvi, GM Wireless Platforms, NBC Universal. “Their technology and services are playing an important role in executing NBCU's mobile content strategy."
Crisp Wireless currently powers 23 mobile websites for NBC Universal, including dedicated sites for many Primetime and Cable programs, including Heroes and The Office, as well as Bravo’s Project Runway, Top Design, Top Chef and Work Out.
The mobile websites include exclusive mobile offerings, including ringtones, user generated content, polls, character/contestant blogs and storyline integrations where relevant. Most of the mobile websites are also advertising enabled, offering advertisers the opportunity to engage audiences across television, the web and their mobile device.
“We’re excited to have NBC Universal as part of our portfolio of major media companies and consumer facing brands,” said Boris Fridman, CEO of Crisp Wireless. “We look for partners who have an existing audience and viewers, and we help convert these consumers to mobile web users through on air promotions and integrating ‘Send to Phone’ links on the internet. This helps drive mobile web pageviews which can be monetized via content downloads and mobile advertising.”
Crisp Wireless’ strategy included building an “umbrella” site for each division and then creating specific sites dedicated to each television program. This approach offers each property a long term presence with the ability to program content according to promotions, season finales and specials.
