In fact, the update means that you’ll have to buy a new phone which will be painted black, has a couple of extra accessories, like a headset, and new firmware. The colour and headset won’t mind most music lovers, but the real feature of course is the updated firmware that turns some keys and the ‘joystick’ into music controls.
Wouldn’t it be nice if you could get the software update without buying a new and expensive N73?
Thanks to a member of All About Symbian's forums, it looks like you can. It turns out that a simple change of the phone's product code is apparently enough to fool Nokia's Software Update app into thinking you're using a Music Edition, though we haven't tried it ourselves and we'd obviously exercise extreme caution when engaging in these kind of procedures!
