ETSI: Economics driving LTE standards [Wed Feb 20, 02:20PM]

Economic considerations are as important to the LTE standards process as the focus on taking mobile broadband performance to new heights, Adrian Scrase, Vice President, International Partnership Projects, ETSI, told Congress delegates Tuesday.

Scrase outlined how the ability for existing operators to reuse cell sites and infrastructure are critical elements of the design criteria that are guiding the standards process.
