A central theme of his discussion focused on whether WiMAX should become part of LTE. "Perhaps WiMAX could become involved with the TDD aspect of LTE. More importantly, we don’t want duel standards; this has proved unproductive in the past, and we want to encourage the inclusion or merging of WiMAX into LTE," he said.
