Mobile agenda goes green [Sat Feb 16, 06:07PM]

Wang Jianzhou, Chairman and CEO of China Mobile, used Tuesday’s keynote session to outline plans to become a greener company.

Chief among a number of initiatives was how the company could reduce its electricity usage that was over 7.5 billion kWh for 2007.

Apart from presenting an impressive set of user statistics – the most notable being the five million subscribers that are added each month – he spent considerable time detailing how the company would become a more environmentally-friendly operator.

More updates on this are expected at the Mobile Asia Congress in November.
